First things first… David Rosen my new 6th album is out now! If you haven’t bought it (or at least streamed it), what are you waiting for?! More info on where to get it is available on the album page, so go and do that!
But in this blog post I want to point you to a special thing I did over on my podcast Piecing It Together last week. While the podcast usually is about movies, to celebrate the release of David Rosen, I recorded an album length commentary track, talking about my thoughts on the album and the process of making it. I think it came out really cool (despite having some reservations at first about whether the world really needs to listen to me talk about myself over my music for an hour haha).
In the commentary I discuss the evolution of the music that I’d been working on since the release of my last full length album, how the pandemic affected my process, and some of the inspirations behind the songs. I also talk about the making of the “Multiply” music video and what’s coming next.
You can find the podcast episode on Piecing It Together’s website at https://www.piecingpod.com/2020/10/02/david-rosen-album-commentary-special-episode/ or on any of the major podcast apps like Apple Podcasts, Spotify or Pocket Casts.
And that’s not all! Over on my Produced by David Rosen Patreon, I just posted an album commentary for my first album, Echoes In The Dark. I will be following this up in the coming weeks with commentaries for An Unseen Sky, Head Like Fire and A Different Kind Of Dream. Obviously, I found the exercise fun and interesting, so I ended up doing all my albums. For now they will be Patreon exclusives, but I may eventually post them in a way that everyone can hear them… But hey, there’s lots of great bonus content from me and my music as well as Piecing It Together, Awesome Movie Year and All Rice No Beans… So sign up! By supporting the Patreon, you’re supporting all of these great projects. So we’d love it if you sign up, and the more Patrons we get, the more content we’re going to make including bonus episodes from those podcasts and some special exclusive music that I’m planning on posting soon…
